Doonster Amps

I start off by establishing a relationship with you, and finding out what kind of player you are, and what you're looking for out of an amplifier. Then, we figure out what upgrade options are most important in terms of longevity, tone and personal preference. All upgrades are quoted as individual systems.

When your build begins, I provide a personal online photo album for you to watch the creation of your amp. It is updated each day I make progress on your amp, and provides you a way to participate in the process of creating your amplifier, and gives you a chance to ask questions about anything you see!

When your amp is complete, I first play test it, to make sure I'm happy with everything. Then, I subject it to a 100-hour burn-in process, using different combinations of sine wave sweeps and audio with varying ADSR curves. This process gets the amp past its "need to break it in" phase; though your amp will improve with age, the amp you receive will sound quite good!

Finally, I ship a documentation package with your amplifier, with details on biasing, specfications on your amplifier, and a voltage chart of all the tubes in your amplifier. This documentation package also contains detail of the warranty you get on my work.
