Doonster Amps was formed in 2006 after John, its founder and chief engineer, realized he could provide the highest quality kit builds at very reasonable prices and personalized service matched by none other in the industry.

John has been playing guitar and bass for most of his life, and has been involved with the technical side of music-making for over 15 years. John cut his amplifier teeth playing non-master volume vintage designs, and is very picky about his tone! He was a guitar player before he was an engineer, so the player's perspective is never lost when talking tech! The most important part of all of this is how your amp sounds and feels to you when we're all said and done.
